Science Fun!

Mrs. Smith's Middle and High School classes presented their projects at the Annual Science Fair.
Integrated Science
Students from Miss I's Integrated Science class built Snap Rovers and raced them as part of a unit on circuits.
CPR at SBJC

Students at the SBJC MS/HS experienced something new in Mrs. Sorrentino'sáHealth classes this semester. They were excited to learn the "Hands Only - CPR" technique as part of the CPR in Schools training initiative by the American Heart Association. Students learned how the "CPR Hands Only" training can save a person's life as well as how and when to use an AED. As part of the program, students also practiced using an AED. Students watched a video on CPR & First Aid technique prior to practicing on their own mannequin. This learning experience provided students with the knowledge of a very important life skill.
3D Buildings Courtesy of SBJC STEAM
Seventh and eight grade students who visited the SBJC STEAM lab this fall were challenged to design an original model of their town that would best serve the needs of the citizens. Our student suburbanáinnovators employed the engineering design process, TinkerCAD (computer-aided design software), and 3D printers to create their model cities. Each class designed a ward of their town. All of the classes' wards can be fitted together to complete a city.
